Art Center Hugo Voeten
The Art Center Hugo Voeten in Herentals is a private museum and sculpture park set within a beautifully designed landscape. Wirtz International created a garden that serves as both an outdoor gallery and a contemplative space.
The 9,200 square metre site is organised into distinct garden rooms defined by clipped hedging, creating a sequence of spaces that frame views of sculpture and nature. The formal structure provides a strong backdrop against which the artworks are displayed.
Meandering paths lead visitors through a progression of experiences, from intimate enclosed spaces to open lawn areas, maintaining a dialogue between architecture, art, and landscape.
The project exemplifies the integration of landscape architecture with contemporary art, where the garden itself becomes part of the artistic experience.
