This expansive private garden in Kapellen covers 89,500 square metres, making it one of the largest private garden commissions by Wirtz International. Developed between 2006 and 2012, it encompasses formal gardens, woodland, and water features.
The design creates a progression from formal areas close to the house through to more naturalistic landscape further afield. A large pond serves as a central feature, reflecting the sky and surrounding plantings.
Structured hedging and topiary provide year-round structure, while extensive tree plantings create a parklike atmosphere across the vast property.
The Kapellen garden is a private estate landscape of exceptional scale and ambition, demonstrating the full range of the Wirtz design vocabulary from intimate garden rooms to sweeping parkland.
